The programme helps you to find a job through the provision of a range of work related and training opportunities. Each programme is tailored personally, and can generally last up to six months. Who can take part? What does Training for Work offer? Participants will be paid a “training allowance” – this is equivalent to their full benefit payment plus £10 a week week allowance plus travel costs. If the trainee gets a job out of the scheme they’ll be paid the rate for the job. The progamme helps people find and get jobs and even start up their own businesses - with a range of support on offer.
